Freight Zone / Freight Permit

Freight permits will only be issued to a person or business with an actual need to engage in the loading and unloading of freight. The Freight Zone Application should be completed and delivered to the City of Orlando Parking Division.

Effective Dates:
Freight Permits are effective through September 30.   Renewals should be mailed with application to ensure proper credit. 

Price:
$70 plus tax for the first permit, $30 plus tax for each additional permit. Lost or stolen permits are $10 plus tax. 

Identifying a Freight Zone:
Freight zones are clearly marked with a sign and the curb is painted orange. 

Using a Freight Zone:
Freight zones are to be used exclusively for the loading/unloading of items.  Each stop many  not exceed 30 minutes.  A vehicle may not return to a zone within 30 minutes of leaving the zone. 

Enforcement:
Enforced 24 hours a day in accordance with Orlando Municipal Traffic Code, Chapter 39.24.
The fine for parking in a loading/unloading (freight) zone without a valid permit is $30.00.
