NOTICE OF REQUEST
FOR PROPOSALS FOR DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES FOR OPD METROWEST SUBSTATION
BUILDOUT
Pursuant to
Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, as amended, and the policies and
procedures of the City of Orlando, a sealed proposal for design-build
services for the OPD Metrowest Substation Buildout Project will be
received at the reception desk, Department of Public Works, 8th Floor,
City Hall, 400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32801, until 3:00
P.M. local time on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Six (6) copies of the
Proposal will be required. Any Proposals received after the above
time will not be accepted under any circumstances. The Project's design
and construction cost estimate is $400,000. Proposers must be able
to complete the Project no later than 210 days upon issuance of a
Notice to Proceed.
Beginning
Tuesday, January 17, 2012, a "Request for Proposal Package" will be
available free of charge at the reception desk, Department of Public
Works, 8th floor, Orlando City Hall, 400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando,
Florida 32801 or downloaded from the City’s eSupplier website at the
following web link:
https://esupplier.cityoforlando.net/vendor/common/default.aspx.
Please note that you must maintain and update your eSupplier vendor file
with the proper contact and email information. The eSupplier System
functions as a courtesy notification system, sending an email announcement
to registered suppliers when additional documents or changes to a
solicitation occur. Unless a supplier registers and downloads the
solicitation directly from the City’s eSupplier Website, the notification
system is not activated. This package outlines the scope of the Project,
the proposal format, evaluation criteria, submittal instructions, the
selection process and design criteria.
A pre-proposal meeting will be held on February 8, 2012, in the 8th
floor Group Room, City Hall, Orlando, Florida, at 10:00 A.M.
In accordance with
Section 287.055 (10), Florida Statutes, the City of Orlando
declares that all, or any portion of the documents and work papers
prepared and submitted pursuant to this Notice shall be subject to reuse
by the City.
The City of
Orlando has adopted Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE)
goals. The successful Design-Build Contractor must comply with the
regulations set forth in Chapter 57 of the Orlando City Code which
addresses the M/WBE goals. Proposers will be evaluated for selection on
the basis of their ability to utilize M/WBE firms.
The City of
Orlando reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any or all
Proposals, or to re-advertise.
