SUMMARY
On June 23, Paul Bracker of Publix Grocery Stores presented the Orlando Police
Mounted Unit with a check for $5,000 for the purchase and care of Mr. George II.
This is the second horse that Publix has sponsored for the Orlando Police
Department. Mr. George is named in honor of the founder of Publix, George W.
Jenkins. The funds will be used for equipment including saddles, helmets, and
training equipment.
