National Night Out Goes To Church

August 3, 2010 Time: 6:00 pm - 10 pm
Crime Prevention Block Party
Join us for this third annual event. There are two dates for your
congregation to participate in: Sunday, August 1, 2010 OR Tuesday, August
3, 2010. The “27th Annual National Night Out” (NNO), is a unique crime
prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).
National Night Out Goes to church is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are
organized and fighting back
Simply complete the registration and return by fax to 407-246-4227 by
July 6, 2010. Please include a detailed narrative of your party plans with your
application.
Registered parties
Each “National Night Out Goes To Church” block party that registers will be
given a NNO ’10 Block Party Package with goodies to aid in your NNO
celebration. The package will contain t-shirts, a banner, coloring books and
other things to give away at your party.
Street Closures
Those wishing to close their street for the party must submit the
permit application. This form is required for
ALL street closures and must be returned to Neighborhood Watch no later than
July 22, 2010. The Neighborhood Watch Unit will pay the permit fee to close your
street for your NNO block party. However, if you plan to use a loudspeaker
system, a loudspeaker application and fee must also be submitted. You may
contact the Neighborhood Watch Unit for your loudspeaker application.
