This is a fast growing palm that can grow up to 30 feet.  It can become an accent tree with its striking yellow flower.

Fun Facts
The tree is valued for its sap, which is extracted and distilled into a potent spirit.  The leaves are used in making brooms and mats.  The ripe fruit is edible.
