Teen Programs

Program: Orlando Skate Park
Ages: Parental supervision is strongly recommended for riders under age 13 and adult supervision is required for those under age 9. No children under 5 years old.

Description: The Orlando Skate Park is located about 2 miles east of Downtown Orlando in Festival Park. The skate park consists of beginner's area, a big flow course and bowl. The beginner's course is perfect for kids that are just learning how to skate. The flow course is huge measuring out to 8,000 Sq. FT. The terrain ranges from 5' deep to 11 changing in elevation several times on the deck and in the flat bottom. There is a spine with transfer ledge across it, a 90 degree hip, a 45-degree hip, 3 rounded hips six different pockets and a couple big extensions.

Description: Cool off with our mid-night hoops on Fridays from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Description: Teens participate in fun activities, features workshops, service projects, field trips, tutoring, and athletic activities.

Description: After-School All-Stars offers a five day a week before and after school program for middle school age students at Howard Middle School. The free week day program offers a structure recreational, cultural and academic sessions that includes: homework assistance; tutoring; computer lab; athletics (hockey, golf, flag football, 3 on 3 basketball & tennis); Drama Club and arts & crafts.

 

Program: The Pottery Studio

Description: Teens looking to express themselves through art can learn a new medium by taking up sculpting at the City's Pottery Studio.

 

Program: Dover Shores Community Center Basketball Summer League
Ages: 11-18
Locations: Dover Shores Community Center
Cost: $350 per team
Description: 1st Saturday in June for 11 weeks, preformed teams of middle school and high school aged teens.

 

Program: John H. Jackson Community Center Teen Program
Ages: 12 & up
Locations: John H. Jackson Community Center
Cost: Free
Description: Teens hang out at the Jackson Center dabbling in Black Top Basketball, life skills, Teen night out events, and enjoy their own space with a recording studio, games, and study area.
