Highlights:

The Rosemont Community Center is located in the Rosemont Community Park at 4872 Rose Bay Drive. Construction started in late July 2004 and was completed in early October 2005. The facility is 15,500 square feet and contains a multipurpose meeting space with an adjacent food service area, state of the art fitness center, men's and women's locker rooms, computer lab, arts and crafts room, game room, teen room, administrative offices and open green spaces for outside activities. Additional outside park amenities include basketball courts, tennis courts, children's playground, open green spaces with hard surface trail, picnic areas, pavilion and parking. Included in the building construction was a multipurpose swimming pool for open swim, family swim, six lanes for lap swimming, water slide, and a water activity area for non-swimmers. The pool is complete with men's and women's bath houses and an administration office.

Programs:

Adult Programs (ages 18 and older): Fitness Center memberships, lap swimming for exercise (only offered during the summer from June through August), Karate/Self-Defense, and a computer lab.

Boys Scouts: Boy scouting builds courage, confidence and character. A unique organization where a boy can find: courage by exploring new adventures; confidence by discovering his abilities; character by shaping his values and connections through friendships with other boys and where a boy can return those gifts by making the world a better place.

Fitness/Exercise Program:  (ages 16+) Focus on cardiovascular and muscular strength along with endurance by offering a challenging workout. Every Monday and Wednesday.  Start May 2, 2012 – September 30, 2012, 6:30pm- 7:30pm.

Camp Orlando Summer Camp (ages 5 - 14): a safe and affordable summer camp program for youth. This five-day week program at 16 City recreation centers offers a variety of activities, including swimming, crafts, outdoor activities, nature programs, exciting field trips (additional expense), computer labs, arts and crafts, and special events. Sites may offer different activities according to the interests of the children who participate in programs.   

Dance: Modern dance is an art form created by artists who incorporate new dance styles with the dance steps of today. This activity is scheduled for an age appropriate setting to teach the fundamentals of tap, hip hop and jazz.

Girls Scouts: Girl scouting builds courage, confidence and character. A unique organization where a girl can find: courage by exploring new adventures; confidence by discovering her abilities: character by shaping her values and connections through friendships with other girls and where a girl can return those gifts by making the world a better place.

Karate/Self-Defense: These martial arts classes are offered to teach the basics self-defense for safety and health, as well as increase confidence, discipline and physical fitness. Class are offered Mondays and Wednesdays. Youth (5 - 15 years of age) from 6 - 7 p.m. and adults (16 years and older) from 7 - 8 p.m. The cost is $8 per session.

MTP (Middle-School Teen Program) (ages 11 - 14): A diverse teen program for youth in middle school. The program features computers, homework assistance, workshops, regular meetings, service projects, game room activities, art, field trips, and athletic activities. Youth will have opportunities to develop leadership skills and gain cultural diversity awareness through MTP activities. 

OASIS (Orlando After School Is Super) (ages 5 - 10): An after-school program for youth ages 5 to 10 that provides supervised activities for elementary school age children. Children can have access to opportunities such as homework assistance, computer labs, game rooms, cultural arts, pottery, arts and crafts, dance recitals and field trips to local attractions, football, and basketball games.

School Vacation Daze (ages 5- 14): A youth program coinciding with school holidays from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.  Offering fun activities during school breaks, children can enjoy crafts, outdoor activities, game rooms, and much more during the traditional Orange County Public School vacation calendar year. Register at site prior to school holidays.

“Seniors Alive” - Senior Program (ages 55 and older): This program on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays offers activities including: fitness center activities, game room activities, computer classes and internet skills, arts and crafts, aerobics and field trips.

Step: Stepping is an art form created by artists who incorporate new stomping styles with modern stepping routines. This activity is schedule for an age appropriate setting to teach the fundamentals of stepping.

Tutoring: To assist students in their scholastic achievements.

Youth Athletic Leagues:  Junior Magic Basketball and City League Football.

Rentals and Public Use:

Rosemont Community Center offers certain rooms within the facility for rent for events such as birthday parties, meetings, showers, and so on.
  • Multi-Purpose Room - $50 per hour - Capacity 141 persons.
  • Kitchen - $15 per hour - Capacity 10 persons.
  • Meeting Room - $30 per hour - Capacity 40 persons.
  • Pavilion - $50 per day.
Rental Policy and Procedures
  • $100 Damage Deposit Required. Deposit will be refunded 4 to 6 weeks after rental if no damage was found after the rental.
  • Insurance is not refundable and prices range from $31 to $80 and will protect any injuries that may happen during the rental.
  • No Alcoholic Beverages allowed.
  • All rentals must be scheduled 14 days prior to event.
  • All rentals must be paid in full at time of booking.
  • Rentals must be cancelled at least 72 hours prior to event to receive a refund
Public Use
  • Fitness Center memberships are available at daily, monthly, six month, and annual rates. For more information, call the Center.
  • Game Room and Computer Lab are open to the public at no charge during operational hours.
