Youth Super Bowl to Make Annual Touchdown at
Florida Citrus Bowl
|
WHAT: |
The City of Orlando’s Annual Youth Tackle
Football League Super Bowl Championship game will kick-off
on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
The City of Orlando’s Youth Tackle Football program
allows youth (5-14 years old) to compete in an organized
sporting league. Many of the participants are from
low-income families. The Youth Tackle Football program gives
them the opportunity to develop good sportsmanship skills,
discipline, positive attitudes, teamwork and respect, while
learning the fundamentals of the game.
The City of
Orlando’s Families, Parks and Recreation Department provides
an opportunity for youth to participate in activities and
programs that will help mold them into productive citizens
through athletics. The teams competing share a rich history
of gridiron battles wherein the game is a tribute to the
consistency and dedication provided by the volunteer
coaching staff, as well as the players.
Tickets are
$5 at the gate and $3 pre-sale which starts 11/12/10 and
runs through 11/25/10. For additional information, please
call Recreation Division’s Athletics Office at 407.246.4286.
