Clean Ups happening in and around our City neighborhoods

For two Saturdays in a row neighborhood groups have taken to the streets to clean up their communities.   Residents and churches from the Conway Curry Ford neighborhood wanted to spend their Saturday morning working together to pickup trash and plant trees. The residents were joined by City Commissioner Gray from District 1 and Commissioner Ortiz from District 2.

The Parramore area held a community cleanup the following Saturday with members from the local churches, neighborhoods and community centers participating in picking up litter and planting trees and flowers. District 5 Commissioner Lynum and Home Depot were instrumental in making this cleanup a real success.

We want to showcase different neighborhoods throughout the City and what they do to show neighborhood pride on our website, or in City News. Send articles and/or pictures to Cindy Light.
