HUD to Make Major Funding Announcement to Ease the Impact of Foreclosures Throughout Orlando and Florida

 At 4 P.M. on Thursday, September 9, 2010, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will make a major funding announcement to help stabilize neighborhoods in Orlando and throughout Florida hard-hit by the foreclosure crisis. HUD’s Deputy Secretary Ron Sims, Congressman Alan Grayson, Congresswoman Corrine Brown and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and other state and local leaders will host a news conference at a foreclosed home in Southeast Orlando that is currently under renovation through HUD’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program.

Reporters are asked to be in place ten minutes prior to the news conference.
