ORLANDO MAYOR DYER AND WORLD-FAMOUS RADIO CITY ROCKETTES ILLUMINATE THE NIGHT AT LIGHT UP UCF

“Flip the Switch” for Orlando Hometown Night

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, joined by two world-famous Radio City Rockettes, will kick off Orlando Hometown Night at Light Up UCF. In an official ceremony, the Mayor and Rockettes will begin the evening’s festivities by flipping the switch on Light Up UCF’s Holiday Light Show. Through the use of an advanced Smart-Lite program, more than 75,000 individual lights dance on the façade of the arena in perfect synchronization to the delight of captivated audiences.

The Rockettes are in town promoting the December 26-28, 2009 premiere of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular at the UCF Arena.

For the second year, UCF Arena and Metro PCS have teamed up to light the way for a spectacular and affordable holiday tradition: Light Up UCF, running November 20 – January 8 outside of the UCF Arena. Featuring Orlando’s largest outdoor skating rink, brightest free holiday light show, free outdoor Holiday Film Festival and all-new attractions, Light Up UCF is the most affordable place to celebrate the holiday season.
