Keep Orlando Beautiful (KOB) As a local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, our Mission is to empower individuals to take greater responsibility for enhancing their community environment through litter prevention, waste reduction/recycling, and beautification.  Keep Orlando Beautiful hosts regular neighborhood and lake cleanup events for which volunteers are always needed.

Trees to Good Homes is dedicated to greening the property of Orlando residents. The City works with neighborhood groups to help select the right tree for the right spot and gives them the opportunity to purchase trees at a wholesale price to plant on private property.

Trees in the Parkway is a partnership between the City of Orlando and individual homeowners. Trees are planted in the Parkway (right-of-way) along City streets. The City determines the most appropriate tree for the location and the resident agrees to water, feed and care for tree until it is established.

Eat
We were always told: You are what you eat! And it’s very true. If we all took a little extra time planning out our grocery list, meals, and dinner dates, we would not only benefit our own health but the environment extension of the food system.

A few tips on greening your food and diet: Buy local foods from local sources, buy organic or hydroponic, plant a home garden, eat vegetarian a few days out of the week, join a food co-op, support local restaurants, buy in bulk to reduce packaging.

Community Gardens strengthen community bonds, provide food, and create recreational and therapeutic opportunities for a community. For information on how to start a community garden with Get Active Orlando .
